Å trpce municipality most successful in "Big cleaning of Serbia" campaign

The Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning declared Štrpce Municipality the most successful municipality in "Big Cleaning of Serbia" campaign, organized on Saturday, June 5th, 2010.

- As many as 15% of Štrpce citizens took part in the campaign on Saturday and gave their contribution to the "Big Cleaning of Serbia" campaign. I am very glad that a Kosovo and Metohija municipality, where people have a number of existential and other problems, was voted the most successful municipality in our campaign. In this way the citizens of Štrpce showed that care for the environment should not be put off for some better and much happier times. As a reward for their success the Ministry shall donate a new garbage truck to Štrpce Municipality - says the Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning, Mr. Oliver Dulić.

Only three municipalities were not able to participate in the campaign, one of them is Trgovište municipality which was unable to join the campaign due to the state of emergency caused by the floods. To those who did not participate in the campaign I would like to send the message that we did the cleaning on their behalf, said Minister Dulić and announced that accurate data on the campaign results would be available as soon as all reports from municipalities reach the Ministry.
