Republic of Serbia makes the largest progress in the environmental sector
Serbian citizens consider that the country has made major development in environmental area, which has also been confirmed by the Serbian European Integration Office SEIO research. As a result of a research that has been conducted in the period of time between June 16, 2011 and June 23, 2011, 14 percent of the citizens have stated that environmental sector is making the biggest steps forward. As a reminder, one-third of all the regulations which are required to synchronize with European Union legislation fall under the environmental region.
One of the priorities that Serbian Government has determined is fulfilling the necessary task in the process of European Integrations. According to this priority, Ministry of Environment, Mining and Spatial Planning has accomplished all the obligations concerning adoption of regulations of the Serbia's National Integrations Program into European Union. The ministry has answered 129 questions from the European Commission Questionnaire before the due date.
The Ministry will keep their priorities in the future, and will focus on European Integrations through adoption of necessary regulations, as well as realization of infrastructural projects out of European Union pre-accession funds. At this moment the Ministry is constructing eight projects financed by the National Integrations Program. An ongoing process is still the withdrawal of available resources from pre-accession funds, as well as removal of accessible favorable loans for realization of all defined infrastructural projects.
