Clean up of the Wild Landfill in the Center of Svilajnac Underway
"Let's clean up Serbia" campaign continues with cleaning up the wild landfill in Vracar quarter in Svilajnac that started yesterday. Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning, Mr Oliver Dulic announced that the Ministry will improve the functioning of both communal and ecological inspection services and initiate the rigorous implementation of the laws. The Ministry will also start charging fines. "We will ask the media to make reports on people who pollute our environment. The people that litter already cleaned up and landscaped surfaces are not friends of our environment, our country and our children. The message that we try to communicate to our citizens, the message of our "Let's clean up Serbia" campaign, is that we all have the right to better life and that everyone should respect the energy of those people who put their efforts into cleaning up their environment ,the people who want to live in the area that is not covered with litter. Svilajnac citizens want to live in a healthier environment and our ministry will help them in that" - the minister said.
