Underwater Cleaning up of Sava Lake as a Part of the Campaign “Lets Clean up Serbia”
Earth Day was symbolically celebrated yesterday by underwater cleanup of Sava Lake in Belgrade as a part of the campaign "Let's clean up Serbia". Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning, Mr Oliver Dulic and the chairman of the Olympic Committee Mr Vlade Divac were present at the commencement of this event.

Clean up of the Wild Landfill in the Center of Svilajnac Underway
"Let's clean up Serbia" campaign continues with cleaning up the wild landfill in Vracar quarter in Svilajnac that started yesterday. Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning, Mr Oliver Dulic announced that the Ministry will improve the functioning of both communal and ecological inspection services and initiate the rigorous implementation of the laws. The Ministry will also start charging fines. "We will ask the media to make reports on people who pollute our environment. The people that litter already cleaned up and landscaped surfaces are not friends of our environment, our country and our children. The message that we try to communicate to our citizens, the message of our "Let's clean up Serbia" campaign, is that we all have the right to better life and that everyone should respect the energy of those people who put their efforts into cleaning up their environment ,the people who want to live in the area that is not covered with litter. Svilajnac citizens want to live in a healthier environment and our ministry will help them in that" - the minister said.

“Old for New” - First Cars Recycled
The fist old car was recycled yesterday in the recycling centre "Zeleznik" as a part of the "old for new" programme. Mr Oliver Dulic, Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning and Mr Mladjan Dinkic, Minister of Economy and Regional Development were present at the recycling of 18 year old Yugo. Minister Dulic said that this event marked the beginning of the development of the recycling industry in Serbia.

Campaign Gets Underway to Clean up Lake Perućac
Let's clean up Serbia campaign continued yesterday by cleaning up Lake Perućac. Mr Oliver Dulic, the Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning, during his visit to Lake Perućac and the Tara National Park said that the state had to support Lake Perucac cleanup as well as the cleanup of the overall area belonging to the Tara National Park because they were among the most beautiful and the most attractive landscapes in Serbia.

Cleaning up of the Tara National Park to Start Tomorrow
The Tara National Park clean-up as a part of the campaign "Let's clean up Serbia" will start on Tuesday, April 14 at 2p.m. near the dam of the hydro-electric power station Perućac. Mr Oliver Dulic, the Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning will be present at the commencement of the aforementioned event.

WILD LANDFILL IN THE CENTRE OF BOLJEVAC CLEANED UP
BOLJEVAC Friday, 10th of April - operational part of the campaign Let’s Clean up Serbia has started on Friday, 10th of April by cleaning up wild landfill in the centre of Boljevac. Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning Mr. Oliver Dulić said that thanks to this campaign as well as the diligent people living on the territory of Boljevac municipality who had designed an excellent project, the new city bathing resort with sports and recreational facilities would emerge on the site that had been earlier occupied by the wild landfill. This would significantly improve the quality of life for all the citizens.

WATER PROBLEMS THE MOST IMPORTANT ECOLOGICAL ISSUE FOR MAJORITY OF VOJVODINA CITIZENS
The majority of people living in Vojvodina consider water problems, quality of drinking water, as well as condition of rivers as a key problem and the most significant ecological issue. A public opinion research on the role of environmental protection and its importance for Serbian citizens and the citizens of Vojvodina was presented before the Executive Council of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina on March 30th. The research showed that at the municipal level the industrial waste and the state of landfills are placed among the biggest ecological problems. This research was conducted by CeSID (Centre for free Election and Democracy) as the integral part of “Let’s clean up Serbia” campaign in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning.

The meeting of Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning, Oliver Dulić, with mayors and heads of municipalities, held today at the National Assembly in Belgrade, marked the beginning of "Let's clean up Serbia" campaign.
