Best Pupils from Rakovica Awarded Prizes by Minister Dulić
The Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning Oliver Dulić presented awards and gifts to the winners of the primary school schoolyard landscaping competition in the premises of the primary school Đura Jakšić in Rakovica. The pupils in the territory of Rakovica municipality competed during the last week of the school year in cleaning up and landscaping their school yards as a part of the campaign "Let's Clean up Serbia".
- Our idea is that, once the students go back to school in September, similar actions should spread to all the schools in Serbia. It is important for the school children to learn about the significance of the environmental protection by participating in similar actions. Children are the best teachers to their parents - Minister Dulić said.
He stressed that the Ministry supports the change of the syllabus in order to make children learn about global and local ecological issues from an early age. In addition, he announced the continuity of the campaign "Let's Clean up Serbia" through similar campaigns that shall teach our children about the environment.
